Last week, the charities group organised an event that proved to be a huge success throughout the school. A charity football match pitted the teachers against the pupils in a game that ensured entertainment for all!
For the sum of 50p, pupils and teachers alike came to witness this event at the Wetlands football pitch, braving the cold to cheer on the two teams. The crowd responded well to the match, cheering on the players and lifting spirits above the cold weather conditions!
The match raised over £100, which will benefit Sport Relief UK. Thanks to all of the organisers and the pupils and teachers who took the time out of their lunchtimes to help put on a great event for charity.
On a whistle stop tour of Scotland, teachers and students from our American musical link school in Baltimore, spent four days in Fife and were hosted by some of Bell Baxter’s teachers, pupils and their families.
During their stay, our guests visited some of Scotland’s tourist attractions and followed a day at Bell Baxter with their partners. The highlight of the visit was a musical concert presented by Bell Baxter’s talented pupils followed by a fantastic traditional Scottish meal and ceilidh.
Bell Baxter will soon be preparing for a future exchange where our musicians will be heading off for Baltimore to maintain our musical ties across the Atlantic.
Now that the final SQA exams are nearly upon us, pupils in S4, 5 and 6 will be really stepping up the revision, so here’s some useful study-aid websites:
Good Luck!
The 30th annual Sport’s Tour left for Il d’Oleron, France last night. The football and rugby teams will meet familiar French rivals during their week long stay as well as taking in the sights of Paris. Good luck boys.
Also, forty lucky pupils and five teachers are heading off on Tuesday for Winter Park, Colorado on the third Ski and Snowboard trip. The snow conditions are excellent and the resort is sure to provide a memorable experience for all, both on and off piste!
