S3 Bell Baxter Book Award

The annual book award, a collaboration between the LRC and the Faculty of English, aims to enthuse and inspire the personal reading of our S3 pupils; encouraging pupils to read books they wouldn’t normally pick up and challenging their critical thinking of the texts is key to the success of the award.

The books which have made the shortlist, as voted by the S3 English classes, for this year’s award include “Eleven eleven” by Paul Dowswell, “The fault in our stars” by John Green, “Every day” by David Levithan,

“Ketchup clouds” by Annabel Pitcher, “Eleanor & Park” by Rainbow Rowell and “Zom-B” by Darren Shan.

Follow the progress of the award via our S3 Bell Baxter Book Award page.  If you’d like to contribute to the award then please contact the LRC staff via email at BellBaxterHS.LRC@fife.gov.uk.

The winner of the award for this session will be announced at the end of May.
